Cute Animals Everywhere

Based on how things are outside today, you might have forgotten that the weather this past weekend was beautiful. Not too hot or too cold, bright sunshine, hardly any wind. The leaves are just starting to change colors. Fall in North Carolina is one of the best things in the world. But if there is one thing I have learned in my many years of living here, it is that Fall is usually gone faster than you can say, "Guilford County Schools have been closed for the past week due to inclement weather."

So this weekend, in order to soak up all the sunshine before it turns dark and dismal, and then goes back to being 100 degrees, I went to the zoo. The North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro is one of the nation's largest zoos and Greensboro is only about a 30 minute drive down scenic highway 220 away from it. Here is a video of an elephant eating.

Pretty cute right? There are lots of really adorable animals to see at the zoo and if you pay a little extra you can even feed a giraffe. I've heard that the weather is going to be nice again this weekend, so maybe take a little drive and enjoy this nice Fall weather before it is gone for another year...
